Subbiah Central School, established in 2012-13 as part of the esteemed Subbiah Group of Institutions in Tirupur, operates under the Subbiah Chettiar Charity Trust, alongside the long-standing Subbiah Matriculation and Higher Secondary School since 1991. Following the CBSE Curriculum, it prioritizes holistic student development, guided by the motto “Knowledge – Courage – Service,” aiming to mold ethically responsible citizens with top-tier knowledge.

The Subbiah lineage traces its origins to Sri V.S. Subbiah Chettiar, a revered figure renowned for his business acumen and philanthropy. Born in Vadambacheri, 30 kilometers from Tirupur, he established a school in 1958 in his native village, offering free education to economically disadvantaged children. Following his passing in 1960, his sons, Sri V.S. Natarajan and Sri V.S. Siva Subramaniam, founded the Subbiah Chettiar Charity Trust to perpetuate their father’s legacy.
This trust, now overseen by their successors, including Sri S.N. Jaya Chandran, Sri S. Sukumaran, and Sri S. Ravi Subbian, continues its benevolent endeavors. Notably, Subbiah Matriculation and Higher Secondary School, founded in 1991, upholds the tradition of excellence in education, leading to the inception of Subbiah Central School in 2012, catering to the burgeoning demand for a central board curriculum.
